Temple Emanu-El Brotherhood
Temple Emanu-El Brotherhood provides a variety of support services to the Temple: High Holiday ushering, and arranging social activities and fund-raising events.

The Brotherhood has been responsible for painting the Temple interior, building the Sukkah, an annual Latke dinner, co-sponsoring an annual Italian dinner, and organizing Temple trips to sporting events such as hockey, basketball, and baseball.

In the summer the Brotherhood sponsors a Sunday softball series that involves the whole Jewish community.

Bagels and Coffee

Bagels and coffee will return with the beginning of the Religious School’s 2006-2007 season.  Please support the Brotherhood and enjoy a cup of coffee, juice, bagel and a schmooze on Sundays. The Bagels on the first day of Religious School Sunday, Sept. 12th will be complimentary as the Brotherhood/Sisterhood welcomes everyone back for the New Year.

Sukkah Building

Please come out and help us build the Sukkah on Tuesday, October 4, 2006.  We will start around 4:30 PM.  We may be doing this over 2 days, because we’ll be working in the late afternoon timeframe, with limited light.  We have at tight timeframe this year, with Yom Kippur on Monday, October 2, and Sukkot beginning on Saturday, October 7.   If you cannot make it that early, come when you can.  Contact Brian Alpert at 691-2266 or see him at the temple.
