Temple Emanu-El Social Action Committee
The Social Action Committee of Temple Emanu-El meets monthly to discuss ways in which we can do mitzvot to benefit the community. We support the New London soup kitchen through donations of time and food, as well as outreach and support to local shelters, food banks, charities, and Habitat for Humanity.
The
Social Action Committee will have its first meeting of the year on
Sunday Sept.
10 at 10:45 in the library. We will discuss last year's activities and
make
plans for the coming year. Among our usual activities are participation
monthly
at the New London Community Food Center, Habitat for Humanity, gift
card
collections for the needy, and more.
